We look forward to you joining us October 29th for this unique & special event. It is one way we give SL’s benefactors, members, & invited guests both our real thanks & some special access to a prominent marriage & family figure in the Church! This is a private event. RSVP’s are required. Please note: this is not a fundraising event.

Event Description
This unique event gives special access for attendees to the son of a potential modern, Catholic, family saint. The event consist of a conversation w/ our guest of honor, + Q&A from attendees on the marriage & family spirituality of his father & family, & on the topic of marriage w/in the Catholic Church & the broader culture today. The event is, first, a thank you for SL’s major donor households, & also an intro to SL’s mission to a number of new households.

Event Guest
Our featured guest is Mr. Chris VanderWoude, the son of Tom VanderWoude, whose cause for canonization is being advanced in the Church. Tom died heroically in 2008 saving the life of his special needs son. But a much quieter, more ordinary heroism was evident long before that day in the way he lived the vocation of Catholic husband & father in his family & professional life every day. Chris is a key figure in the Church’s formal cause of canonization.
